Next Securities Appoints New Tech and Security Leaders to Drive Retail Expansion

  • Effective September 2025, appoints Jae-do Ko as Head of Engineering and Hee-kyun Kim as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Next Securities announced a reorganization of its technology and security organizations, appointing Jeado Ko as Head of Engineering and Heekyun Kim as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Ko brings extensive experience in leading large-scale platform development and engineering teams at major fintech and technology companies, including Musinsa, KakaoBank, Quotalab, and Endowus. At Next Securities, he will oversee the company’s technology strategy, new service development, and operational stability, strengthening the firm’s overall technology competitiveness.

Kim is a seasoned security expert with over 20 years of experience in the financial and fintech sectors. He previously managed financial security, data privacy, and information security governance at Viva Republica (Toss) and KB Life Insurance. As CISO, he will lead Next Securities’ company-wide information security strategy and governance, ensuring the stability and reliability critical to the company’s upcoming retail service.
